Embedded Players
Jinzora contains several Embedded Players that are installed on your server when you install Jinzora.
By streaming to an Embedded Player, the end-user can enjoy your media, without the need to install a player locally on its client. The Embedded Player runs on your server, embedded into Jinzoras Interface or a popup window. This offers Jinzora Administrators a chance to force to use of a specific player. Also, Embedded Players allow you to stream content to your users without exposing any of the actual links in the playlist.
Desktop Players
Desktop Players are probably the most used players out there. These are players that are installed locally on the end-users desktop computer, notebook or tablet PC. There are dozens of Desktop Players out there that are suitable for Jinzora. Basically, every player that can play streamed media in one of our supported media formats can work with Jinzora. Some populair names include Windows Media Player, Winamp and MusicMatch. But like mentioned above, there are much more players that are supported by Jinzora.
By streaming to a Desktop Player, the end-user can watch or listen to your media by using their own favorite player. The end-user decides what player to use.
Mobile Players
Mobile Players are similar to Desktop Players in the fact that they are also installed locally on the end-users computer. The difference is that Mobile Players are installed on a mobile device, such as a PDA, Pocket PC or Smart Phone.
By streaming to a Mobile Player, the end-user can watch or listen to your media by using their own favorite player, even on the road (providing there's an internet connection available).
Hardware Players
Hardware Players are devices that are dedicated to media output. Using them with Jinzora is called Jukebox Mode.
Other Players
Other Players, including software Media Servers that can be controlled by Jinzora to broadcast a stream over the internet or to a connected stereo set. This is done by using Jinzoras Jukebox Mode.
