Here's a brief instruction on how to create a Jinzora translation and upload it.

Create a New Translation

To create a new translation, make sure you have downloaded the most recent Jinzora 3 SVN Snapshot. Open the directory 'lang' from the root of your Jinzora directory. In there are two files called 'english-simple.php' and 'english-extended.php'.

The first one contains all phrases that are visible in the Jinzora frontend. The second one also contains phrases that are used in Jinzora's Admin Tools.

Create a copy of these files and name them in a similar way, e.g. 'dutch-extended.php' and 'dutch-simple.php'. Translate all phrases.

Package the Translation

Once you've finished translating, you need to create a ZIP-archive ('.zip) and a G-Zipped Tarball (.tar.gz), both containing both files.

The name of the package shoud be: 'jz_language_[language name]_author_name'. Examples:

• jz_language_dutch_maarten_holland.zip
• jz_language_dutch_maarten_holland.tar.gz

Upload the Translation

Upload your translation from the Contribute page. Please fill in the following fields:

Language

Enter the English name of your new translation, e.g.'Dutch', 'German' or 'Swedish'.

Author Name

Since there will be probably more than one contributions for each language, we'll differentiate each language by adding the authors name to the language packs and URL's. Please enter your real name, like 'Maarten Holland'.

Author

Those details are for administrative purposes. Your name will be publicly visible, but your e-mail address is only visible to Jinzora Team members. Please provide a valid e-mail address. We will use it to send you further instructions to maintain your project.

Search Description

Please enter: '[Language] translation by [Author Name]', e.g. 'Dutch translation by Maarten Holland'.

Enable comments

Leave checked if you want other users to be able to comment on your translation.

ZIP/Tar Package

Browse to the packages you've created earlier.

Click 'Send for publishing' to upload your translation and the required details.

One of our moderators will check your contribution and might moderate it to ensure consistency in our web sites. Once your contribution is approved, it will be added to the Language Projects section. This might take a couple of days. Please be patient.
